ELECTRIC GUITAR

This electric guitar was built for the practical portion of my state school leaving certificate in construction studies. The research, design, fabrication, and assembly was all self-initiated as part of the project.

The guitar fascia is a five piece carved laminate of mahogany, maple and walnut on a solid mahogany body. The bolt-on neck is made of mahogany with an ebony fretboard and signature carved headstock. The electronics and hardware are in a Gibson inspired layout with dual-concentric controls, a three-pole switch and overwound Kent-Armstrong "PAF" humbuckers. The oiled finish on the guitar is complimented with a natural linseed oil and beeswax polish.
