PENCIL POT

Faceted birch ply pencil pot with rounded edges made to look like a sectional cut of a larger pencil. This was a personal project, sketched, dimensioned and constructed in one day (spray painting excepted). The faceted pieces were purposely undercut to leave an even amount of excess ply to be rounded off. After filling any voids in the ply the whole piece was prepped for spraying using a sealer. For extra lustre and protection two coats of clear lacquer were appled to the finished piece. The non-slip base is vegan leather.
