PINHOLE CAMERA
OTHER
This pinhole camera was built as part of the development of my final year project in product design, a DIY camera for kids. The simple pinhole camera was made from a matchbox, two film rolls, assorted odds and ends and a lot of electrical tape. This experiment served as a proof of concept for the final camera I produced the BiYKi (build-it-yourself kit) Camera.
The resulting photos from this camera were developed by the Dublin Camera Exchange formerly in Suffolk Street. I scanned the developed film roll myself and the these were the resulting photos. Despite the pronounced light leak the photos have a simple ethereal quality and cover subjects from portraiture, landscape, still life to a short stay in hospital.
